Marko Živec has recently joined Senior Award program in started working as a volunteer. After the Covid times this enabled him to come back to normal social life.
Namely, during the Covid times he lived only within his family, and the invitation to join the ward program was really welcome. An invitation and also an encouragement!
He joined an English study group and accepted a voluntary position on the Supervising Board that supervises the financial transactions at Slovenian Third Age University. Now, he feels responsible, useful and alive again. Working as a volunteer
means that you overcome your difficulties and use your knowledge. Volunteering is about giving and receiving a lot. Now, Marko is teaching English a lady that is
currently jobless.
