Glen Kendall lives in Amsterdam and share his opinion about volunteering. He says that he gets a lot of benefits from volunteering. Volunteering is internally motivated, and self-motivated. Volunteering should be more promoted and explained to people that this experience is joyful. The idea of volunteering is excellent for the community and for people because of interaction – it’s a win-win situation. It’s important that the contribution of volunteers is recognized frequently. The recipients of volunteering work, if somehow they recognize the contribution with simple words – “that it’s really good what you do”. That’s meaningful recognition.
